Crystal Schrof serves as the manager of the Scientific and Program Services Office of Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s (ORNL) Neutron Sciences Directorate (NScD). NScD is home to two neutron facilities: Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) and the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR). The Scientific and Program Services Office brings together NScD User Programs, Communications and Outreach, and Scientific Information Systems, and the deployed functions of SNS Information Technology (IT), Document Control and Records Management, and Procurement. She is also the Management System Owner for ORNL’s User Facility Management System, which is responsible for coordinating activities among ORNL’s eight user facilities.
During her tenure at ORNL, Crystal has served as the Directorate Operations Manager for NScD, a regulatory analyst in the Laboratory’s Environmental Protection Division, an associate general counsel in the Office of General Counsel, and manager of the Independent Oversight organization in the Audit and Oversight Directorate.
