On December 23, 2008, EQ-SANS received its first neutrons. The instrument is now available for users. Proposal Information
Among those present for the start-up were (left to right) Greg Smith (Low-Q Group leader), Dazhi Liu (post doc), Paul Wright (Radiation Protection team lead), Ken Chipley (systems engineer), Randy Summers (EQ-SANS engineer), Carrie Gao (scientific associate), Joshua Pierce (post doc), and JK Zhao (then lead instrument scientist).
JK Zhao opens the shutter for neutrons to travel down beam line 6 to the EQ-SANS.
