Energen, Inc. specializes in developing, manufacturing and marketing precision position and vibration control solutions that can operate is harsh cryogenic and vacuum environments. Energen’s mission is to solve our commercial and government customers’ unique problems by developing custom solutions to meet their needs in precision positioning and vibration control. Our solutions are based on patented magnetic “smart” materials - the only materials available that deliver precision motion in combination with extremely high forces and operate reliably from near absolute zero to above room temperature. Energen currently has highly trained engineering staff with a total of four PhD degrees, over 20 patents, and several hundred articles in peer-reviewed journals to their credit. We have commercial and government clients for whom we have custom made motion control solutions addressing applications ranging from steering mirrors to SRF cavity tuners to optical quality translation stages.
