Special Mini-Workshop on Magnet Simulations for Particle Accelerators

A special Mini-Workshop on Magnet Simulations for Particle Accelerators was held during PAC05 as one of its satellite meetings. This workshop was intended to bring magnet physicists/engineers together with simulation code developers to exchange ideas and to discuss commonly interested questions in this special field.

The workshop was scheduled for two afternoon sessions on Wednesday, May 18, and Thursday, May 19. The first session was aimed at exchanging information on magnet simulations in general. The second session will focus on simulation codes and techniques. Major topics discussed included applications of computing simulations in the study of magnet physics, in the design and development of accelerator magnets, and in the guidance and assistance to magnet measurements.

This special mini-workshop was sponsored by Vector Fields Inc. and by PAC05.
