Student Travel Support
To help defray travel costs for students, the National
Science Foundation,
IEEE/NPSS, and the APS/DPB provided a limited number of travel grants to worthy students. The APS/DPB
and IEEE/NPSS grants were awarded in honor of two people who have made many
contributions to the accelerator community. The APS/DPB awards were in honor
of Dr. Melvin Month, past secretary/treasurer of the DPB, for his dedication
to students and education. The IEEE/NPSS awards were in honor of Mr. Lou Costrell,
for his nurturing of the particle accelerator conferences.
