Engineer and Section Head, Site Services Section, Neutron Technologies Division, Neutron Sciences Directorate

Bob Eason is the Section Head for Site Services in the Neutron Technologies Division of Neutron Sciences Directorate. He oversees the Facility Management and Engineering support for Conventional Facilities on the Chestnut Ridge Campus of ORNL. His role includes responsibility for the Electrical Engineering Group which operates and maintains the Power Distribution System across the site.  Bob also oversees the Materials Management Group that provides logistical services for shipping, receiving, storage and delivery of material throughout Chestnut Ridge.

Prior to joining ORNL, Mr. Eason worked for multiple consulting engineering firms across the southeastern USA (Atlanta, Birmingham, Raleigh, Knoxville).  His professional experience includes more than thirty (30) years of engineering, project management, design, construction, maintenance, and operations of facilities in aviation, commercial, governmental, industrial, institutional, residential, and utility markets.

Bob received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology in September of 1988. He is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Tennessee (previously registered in 11 states), a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a certified Commercial Electrical Inspector (CEI) and a Division Electrical Safety Officer (DESO).  Bob is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and regularly attends the annual DOE EFCOG Electrical Safety Workshop.
