Monty C Middlebrook

Sr. Project Management Staff

Monty has worked with senior management for over two decades successfully applying best practice project management and controls principles to a diverse array of projects.  These projects, worth billions of dollars to both corporate and government sponsors, span numerous disciplines including construction (industrial, retail, commercial, residential, etc.), information technology, high performance computing, and experimental science.

Prior to his current role, he served as the Project Controls Manager for the Second Target Station (STS), Exascale Computing Project (ECP), and ORNL Physics Division and as a project controls specialist on dozens of other projects at ORNL.  He is a regular contributor to DOE project reviews and has also taught classes on project management and Primavera software.  From 2000-2010 he worked on construction projects in the Chicago area including the multi-billion-dollar Whiting Refinery Modernization Project (WRMP), Soldier Field Redevelopment Project (Da Bears!), schools, universities, water treatment plants, bridges, airports, federal courthouse, and more.

Monty is a graduate of The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill (Speech Communicaton, B.A.),The E.I. School of Biblical Training, and Liberty University (Master of Science, Project Management, with distinction).  He has earned the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP®), Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP®), and Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP®), and the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International’s certification as a Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSPTM).
