Maya Little
Maya Little works as a Labs & Soft Matter Technician at the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) and the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR). Maya also serves as the Lab Space Manager (LSM) of the HFIR chemistry and biology user labs. As an LSM technician, she provides internal and external support for users with experiment support at SNS and HFIR. Her group's mission is to facilitate pioneering science by providing reliable support services, efficient sample management, convenient laboratory spaces, and cutting-edge soft matter sample environments with expansion.
As the LSM, she supports both internal and external users with sample preparation and management services including user laboratory training, laboratory support, sample handling support, sample disposal, chemical management, equipment maintenance, returning user samples, and any user needs before and after experiments.

What excites her is knowing that every day is different and that helping others with their cutting-edge science will lead to opportunities to work on cutting-edge science of her own.
To be successful in her field, she says she believes the most important ingredient is being optimistic each day. If you remain consistent and optimistic, progress will happen.
