A Guinness World Record

SNS is confirmed by Guinness World Records as the world's most powerful pulsed neutron spallation source. The SNS ramped up beam power to more than 300 kilowatts for its original five instruments. Source.


Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) reached 0.5 MW beam power. Then-ORNL Lab Director Thom Mason presented the official Guinness World Record framed certificate on June 12, 2008.
